We're still here

The Holidays are upon us and everything is moving very fast! I am trying to get ready for the Christmas program at church and I have been baking up a storm. Roslyn and I have done all the Christmas-y things that we can think of, such as decorating the tree, building a gingerbread house, and getting all of our shopping done. We will be going to our yearly Build-a-Bear date with the cousins on Friday and Ros is DYING to watch the new Alvin and the Chipmonks movie. WEEEEEEEEE!
I was a super responsible citizen the other day, I went and got my H1N1 vaccination, along with Roslyn. She wasn't too happy with the shot (heck I wasn't either) but then they gave her a candy cane and she was good to go.
I am still housing my fugitive family members, but I am having a good time doing it. Travis, on the other hand, wishes my brother would move on already, this has caused a few arguments but nothing to crazy. It will be nice when the rest of my family comes home and we can just "hang".
I will have to post some pics when I have more time and maybe even write something interesting. Love you all and Merry Christmas!

Winding down

Sadly Summer is nearing an end. We have had quite the time. My sister will be moving in with us in a week and a half, and we are greatly looking forward to that. Roslyn's Birthday is today and we had her party on Saturday; she had so much fun! She is a big girl now at the age of 3 and of course wants to do everything herself, as long as Mommy doesn't go to far.

We took our first trip to Wild Waters and it was a learning experience for both Ros and I. My family, including the little ones, were all going down the big slides when we got there. I just assumed that Roslyn would love it as much as they seemed to. Now, here's where the problem starts. I had never been to a water park before and really never a water slide. I put Ros in front of me and headed down the beginner slide. My sweet little girl begins to scream with terror as I try to hold on to her and tell her it's fun. We come around one of the corners and there is a woman stalled in the middle of the slide (obviously the girl working at the top wasn't doing her job). I managed to get go one side of her, but in the process Ros was scraped from my lap and was now going down the slide behind me and on her belly. As she was screaming at the top of her lungs, I managed to get her back in place in my lap. We came around the last corner and hit the water where I held her out of the water as best I could while we both found our footing. As I tried to comfort my poor baby, after her tramatic experience, she says " I don't want to do that again" and I agreed. We stayed there for the rst of the day and we worked through some trust issues that she was harboring. In the end we had a great time and lots of fun!

We also went to Silverwood, which wasn't nearly as damaging, at least for Roslyn. Travis, Chris, and I went on the New Roller coaster that they have, Aftershock. I absolutely love roller coasters, but this one scared the livin' poop out of me! It took me a long time to recover and left me wondering if I am getting too old for Rollercoasters. It effected Trav and my brother the same way, and left us all happy to be alive!

So far it's been a great summer, I guess I should mention that Travis was only laid off for a month, but even that short time sucked! Everything is getting back on track and we are all doing the best we can.

Interesting times

Well, it happened! Travis was laid-off a couple of days ago and we are letting that sink in. We don't really know what exactly to do next, but for now I will try to get a job. Travis has a year of unemployment and health benefits, so it seems obvious for me to be the one to get a job for now (my idea, not his).
We are also still having problems concieving, in fact, the fertility drugs have not worked at all for the past 2 months. My doctor does not want me to give up yet and we are trying something different for June, but if this doesn't work, there is talk of injectables and some such nonsense. Such is my lot in life. Roslyn is wonderful and if it is just her in our little family then, so be it!

If all this wasn't bad enough, it seems that we are all going to be in for mass devastation soon! If any of you watched the TV special "Year 2100" then you know what I'm talking about. It seems we are killing our planet and ourselves at an alarming rate (mostly Americans) and there is nothing we can do about it. Doesn't that sound fun!

Actually, the Tysz family is doing very well and having a good time. We planted a garden this year and it is doing well so far and we are able to spend a lot of valuable time together (more now since the lay-off). We are counting our blessings and consider ourselves very fortunate given the trials and tribulations of our time.

I can hear my little one crying right now so I will bid you all farewell for now. Peace Out!!!

I'm New! And it probably shows.
This is a little different from all the other social networks out there, but maybe that's why people like it. Anyway, I thought that I would give it a shot. My name is Debbie Tysz and I am from the CDA Idaho area. My husband Travis and I bought a house in Post Falls about a year ago and are enjoying life (Most of the time). We have a sweet little girl who is 2 and a half years old and we are currently trying to have another. Hopefully soon we will have some good news.
I'm not really sure what else to put in right now, so I guess that's that.
Oh, you can also find me on Facebook( which I am much better at).
